JSC Dariali Energy is implementing the construction of Dariali HPP on the Tergi River in Kazbegi. The project envisages the construction/operation of a 108 MW installed capacity hydroelectric power plant on the Tergi River in the Kazbegi region of northeastern Georgia, at an elevation of 1729 meters above sea level.

The hydroelectric power plant collects water flow from the Tergi River and directs it through a derivation tunnel to the main facility, located at 1334 meters above sea level, 1.2 km from the Russia-Georgia border.

The annual stable output of the HPP is 500 million kWh, of which approximately 70% of energy will be produced during summer months (May-October).

The project envisages connecting the Dariali power plant substation to the national grid via the Dariali 110 kV transmission line. The construction period is 4.5 years and after the start of the operation period, the expected amortization period of the HPP will be 40 years.

The investment required for the project implementation is $123 million USD.
